I check your blog all the time, but other than today, I don’t know if I have ever commented or not. If I have, it’s only been once or twice in a couple of years.

Anyway, OMG-you are writing a book! I cannot wait for it to be published! I almost wish I didn’t know this so soon, because I know it will be a long wait. lol!

However…I would LOVE to stitch some of your embroidery designs for you if need be! It would be an honor. I love to embroider and have even just started teaching kids. If you would like, I can send you some pictures of things I’ve done.

I think your book idea sounds great! Different publishing companies that print craft books, such as Lark and Chronicle, (and word is C&T is now currently trying to develop a line of craft books more geared to the indie crowd, as well) generally have book proposal guidelines listed on their web sites. I think they are always on the look out for what’s hip and hot… and I think you’d be a great fit! Good Luck!!
(I also seriously think you should do a children’s book. Your illustrations are so freakin’ great.)

Would love your embroidery in book form. Sublime Stitching sells theirs in books but also in themed packets which I totally love. Either way…I LOVE your stuff!

There was a great two-part feature for ‘writing a book’(including how to get it published) on Design Sponge awhile back, part of the Biz Ladies 09 series. Here is the link to Part 2(link to part 1 is within). I thought it was a great article.
