Here is some of my favorite words. It seems that a lot of my families vocabulary is made up or from cartoons.
Seethe* – To be in a state of turmoil or ferment. To be violently excited or agitated. When you say this word you can actually clinch your teeth if you want. The sound when saying the word SEETHE invokes simmering anger. Another definition for SEETHE is PMS.
* I can’t believe that I orginally misspelled this word! Thanks Valerie!
Meh - Indifference; to be used when one simply does not care. Thank God for the Simpsons! Many of my favorite words come from this show. As soon as my daughter and I heard the word MEH we started using it. When using this word it is very effective to also shrug your shoulders. Such a little but effective word.
Mmwah – Pronouced Mmmm-Wah. A fake high society kiss. This is a family word, but I suspect others use it too. Great for quick, silly goodbyes. In our family we never use is for hello. Also works great over the phone.
Craptacular – Intended to be perceived as spectacular, but actually perceived as extremely poor quality. Another Simpson word. There is a whole lot in this great big world that can be described as CRAPTACULAR. It also brings to mind Las Vegas.
Hah-wink -Pronouced, Haaah-wink. To be used in concert with a highly dramatized eye wink. Basically it means “This is a secret, but not really” or “Hey, good lookin’”. Hah-wink works best if done in close proximity to the person, or persons, that the secret or admiration is about. It’s just not any fun unless everyone hears, and sees you doing it.
Freckers - A possibly more amusing word for freckles. I’m wondering if any of you can guess where this word came from?
Cananada -Just a funner way to say Canada
Plurple – Just a funnier way to say purple.
Poop – Another word for dog. Such as, “Aren’t you the cutest poop!”
Who da’ ho? I da’ ho – an very embarrassing way to say Idaho.
Spooty Water - Water that is stupid, uninteresting and not worth dealing with. Usage: “Do you want to go to the lake?” “No I don’t because it is spooty water.” Now if you say it like this, “No I don’t because it is spooty water, says Daggit”, you might guess that this word is from the cartoon Angry Beavers.

It’s actually seethe
Isn’t it amazing how just saying a word can invoke the feeling?
We use “Meh” a lot. Usage: “How was the movie?” “Meh.”
Also guilty of craptastic. Also craptacular. You can do a lot of the “-tastic” and “-tacular” endings.
Love your “words”! I’m a “hick” southerner (and happy to be so), and most people that I grew up with always say:
Dudnit? Pronounced Dud-n-it? translated – doesn’t it? We use this to gain consensus …. “It looks like rain today, dudnit?” We have a huge supply of words and phrases that we use over and over…cuz…it’s just easier!
“Freckers” sounds like something from Cute Overload.
streeeet sweeeeper……..angry beavers a fuh-hab- u-lous!
