After a lot of false starts on several other quilts, I have finally completed a new quilt. I think I was trying to work too big to suit my sensibilities. This quilt is little.
I have been wanting to do a swan quite for a while.
I always have to have flowers. It’s easy to make a flower have a real visual punch.
I was hoping that this photo would show the texture of the embroidery and quilting. But, it didn’t quite work.
Click on the images to see large versions. The Magic Swan Quilt measures 22″ x 24″. It’s hand appliqued, hand embroidered and hand quilted. All the fabric is quilters cotton.

I love the quilt! The fabric choices are perfect and it has so many great details. I especially like the subtle swag border with the stitching at its “peaks”. Beautiful!
