So, trying to decide on this months pattern was hard for me. I just couldn’t come to grips with doing a Thanksgiving pattern. I thought pilgrim or maybe turkey, but I just couldn’t. Then I thought, hey I’ll go P.C. and doing a Native American design, but I’m not Native American so is that really P.C.. I finally went with a somewhat traditional sampler. It’s a bit folk artsy. I hope you enjoy it.

This pattern is wonderful! I love it! so cute!
I love this! Thank you!
I am not so fond of traditional Thanksgiving images either and both my great grandmother’s were Cherokee…I just have a hard time with turkeys and so this is a much better design to me! Hopefully I will be able to make a quilt of all of these some day! Thank you for the wonderful free images, I am thankful for you.

I think it’s lovely! Thank you, Andrea!
My husband is Native American and we celebrate thanksgiving as a celebration of food and family. We enjoy the holiday and what its meanings are to us today and we try not to focus on what the meaning was when it started. Besides, if I am not mistaken the real thanksgiving was the beginning of October. The US gov changed the date several decades back to spur holiday shopping and boost the economy.
I love the design this month. I want to make some new Christmas stockings this year and I think that this would look perfect.
Thank you so much for the patterns. I love, love, love them all, but this one is way up on my list of favs!
Love it!
It’ll look so cute on pillows!
LOVE it! Thank you SO much!
[...] November’s free embroidery pattern by Andrea Zuill is available now on her Badbird’s blog. What could be sweeter than this bird-and-flower sampler. It’s equally easy for me to imagine it in fall colors and in Christmas hues. Get the pattern. [...]
Love this! Thank you!!
Thanks. This definitely going to end up on a pillow!
I love it! Thank you! (I can see it in Christmas colors, too!)
oh perfect. I want to do my stepmom a piece of needlework this Christmas and had a little reindeer ready to use, but this is so much nicer and I know she’ll keep it up year round. Thanks so much. And may I say, how early!!
it’s gorgeous! i’m not into thanksgiving stuff either, mostly for political reasons, plus, it’s already over here! (you crazy americans with your late thanksgiving!!) it’s such a treat to see a non-thanksgiving craft idea in november, usually i just stop reading magazines and some blogs for the month! thank you, i can’t wait to stitch this one!
Even if it’s not “traditional”, I think it’s very autumnal! The plants make me think of spices and seed pods. The birds could be fat little European robins. Thank you!
Thanks from Belgium!! I love this and I’m already printing it!
I love this pattern!!

I just can’t thank you enough! I’ve been searching for “cheeky” birds to incorporate into a baby quilt for our daughter’s first baby boy to be born in February and came across your site! you do fabulous work with just the right touch of whimsy!
I thought maybe you or your readers would like to see what I’ve done with this pattern. I made a table runner. There is a photo on my blog: http://jove.homeschooljournal.net/2008/12/03/done-table-runner/
I have just discovered your site, and LOVE the folk art bird and rabbit, as well as the bird sampler from November. I am teaching a group of women in rural Nicaragua to do redwork, and we are hoping to sell quilt blocks to US quilters to help the women keep their children fed and in school. Would you be willing to let us use these 3 designs on blocks, and potentially bags, etc, that we would sell? You would be credited, of course. Thank you considering this.
Anne
I love this pattern, and think it would be beautiful year round! Thanks!

[...] Baby Emery’s bedroom (which you can sort of see in the first picture) is painted green. Her mom and dad stenciled a tree with some birds in one corner of the room. I attempted to mimic that design with this embroidery from a pattern at Andrea Zuill’s awesome blog, Badbirds. [...]

wonderful site, I like it very much. Nice post. Thanks !
Somebody necessarily help to make significantly posts I might state. That is the first time I frequented your web page and to this point? I amazed with the analysis you made to make this particular submit incredible. Fantastic activity!
Apple samochody legnica right now has Rhapsody as an app, which is an excellent start, but it really is currently hampered with the inability for you to store locally with your iPod, and includes a dismal 64kbps little rate. If that changes, then it will eventually somewhat negate this kind of advantage with the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a huge plus throughout Zune Pass’ favor.
Howdy! I know this is sort of off-topic however I needed to ask.
Does running a well-established blog such as yours require a large amount of work?
I am brand new to blogging however I do write in my journal on a daily basis.
I’d like to start a blog so I can share my personal experience and feelings online. Please let me know if you have any suggestions or tips for brand new aspiring blog owners. Appreciate it!
I have learned some new points from your internet site about desktops. Another thing I have always imagined is that computers have become an item that each home must have for a lot of reasons. They offer convenient ways in which to organize households, pay bills, search for information, study, listen to music and in some cases watch television shows. An innovative solution to complete these types of tasks is with a mobile computer. These personal computers are mobile ones, small, strong and mobile.
My spouse and i felt really fortunate when Michael managed to conclude his basic research through the suggestions he had from your personal internet pages. It is not at all simplistic to just possibly be offering solutions that other people could have been producing money from. And now we discover we require you to thank for this. The most crucial illustrations you made, the simple website navigation, the relationships you give support to create – it’s several overwhelming, and it’s actually leading our son and our family feel that this subject matter is exciting, which is really mandatory. Thanks for the complete lot!
An impressive share, I just given this onto a colleague who was performing a bit analysis on this. And he in fact bought me breakfast because I located it for him.. smile. So let me reword that: Thnx for the treat! But yeah Thnkx for spending the time to discuss this, I feel strongly about it and adore reading more on this subject. If possible, as you become expertise, would you mind updating your blog with much more details? It truly is highly beneficial for me. Big thumb up for this weblog post!
