I have a new print for my Etsy store. It is simply called, Little Red Ridinghood.
I guess the meaning of this piece is that you have more to fear from yourself than you do the outside world.
Discuss. . . .
Anywho, I love the charactor of Little Red. I have done several oil paintings of her, and will probably do more through the years. This piece is a limited edition of 30. The paper measures 13″ x 19″, the image size is 9″ x 15″. This is larger than my adverage prints. You, of course, can find this print at my Etsy store:

I think you do think deep, and I love it, I really, really do. It is a very thought- provoking image and reminds me of Paul Simon’s “You can call me Al”, because that is exactly what he talks about, making friends with himself…..This is what I call “intelligent art” and it’s what I like a lot!!! Robert Browning said: “When a man begins to know himself—THEN he is something”–I remember reading that often the thing you don’t like about others is because you are guilty of it yourself, but don’t come to terms with it and address it, only loathing it in others when you see it…….sometimes I have difficulty believing that, but sometimes, I am quite amazed! At any rate—-I love your illustration!!!
You know, I feel like every time you put up something new I’m all “OMG! Fantastic!” and that you might get the impression that I’m a crazy person. I’m not, I guess your art just resonates with me quite a bit. And, once again, this is lovely.
Love this piece and the message behind it!
Fantastic, Andrea. That shadow….. wow!
I love the idea behind this piece! I also like Litte Red’s pose and hat!
Really love this piece, and am already rearranging budgeted funds to buy it.
In the meantime, I’ve used it to illustrate a writing exercise at my blog (here) – hope you don’t mind. I included links to here and your Etsy shop.
