Goldilocks by Andrea Zuill, Detail Goldilocks.  I really like this one.  The only twists are stuff toy bears and a blonde fro.  I am thinking of doing a painting of a little girl with a blonde fro.  It fascinates me.

Goldilocks a digital, limited edition print. The paper size is 19″ x 13″. The image size is 15″ x 9″. The paper and ink used for this print is very archival. You can purchase this piece at my Etsy store: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=12886688

Snow White and the Usual Suspects.

Monday, June 23rd, 2008

Snow White and the Usual Suspects  I have just created another fairytale based print.  It’s really fun to put a twist on the “usual” concept of these fairytale figures.  I particularly had fun with the “dwarves” and making them all outlaws with Snow White as the ringleader.

Snow White and the Usual Suspects is a digital, limited edition print.  The paper size is 19″ x 13″.  The image size is 15″ x 9″.   The paper and ink used for this print is very archievel.  You can purchase this piece at my Etsy store:  http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=12816120

Bobby La\'s Penny RugWhen I got back from visiting my parents, I went to the Stitched by Hand group on flickr and spotted this beautiful penny rug.  I can’t tell you how much I love this!  It is a creation by Robyne Melia aka Bobby La, of Bobby La’s Fancywork Patterns.  You can by the pattern and instructions for this rug at her Etsy store:

Little Red Ridinghood

Saturday, June 14th, 2008

Little Red Ridinghood DETAIL I have a new print for my Etsy store. It is simply called, Little Red Ridinghood.

I guess the meaning of this piece is that you have more to fear from yourself than you do the outside world.

Discuss. . . .

Anywho, I love the charactor of Little Red. I have done several oil paintings of her, and will probably do more through the years. This piece is a limited edition of 30. The paper measures 13″ x 19″, the image size is 9″ x 15″. This is larger than my adverage prints. You, of course, can find this print at my Etsy store:

Rim to rim. The Grand Canyon.

Monday, June 9th, 2008

Bottom of the Grand Canyon  I just hiked the Grand Canyon rim to rim.  What this means is we (my husband, daughter, friend Don, niece Athena w/ husband Daniel, Bro-in-Law Leo w/ niece Jenny) hiked down the North rim of the canyon, on the North Kaibab Trail, and hiked out up the Bright Angel Trail to the South Rim.

REMEBER to click on the images to get a full size view.

Heading down the North Kaibab trail.  This is the view, at approx. 5:30 am, from the North Kaibab trail.  Our destination is the bottom of the Grand Canyon, at a place called the Phantom Ranch.  It is about 14 miles down to the ranch.  As you can see, the North rim of the Grand Canyon is forested.  It was very cool and quite beautiful.
