I have just created another fairytale based print. It’s really fun to put a twist on the “usual” concept of these fairytale figures. I particularly had fun with the “dwarves” and making them all outlaws with Snow White as the ringleader.
Snow White and the Usual Suspects is a digital, limited edition print. The paper size is 19″ x 13″. The image size is 15″ x 9″. The paper and ink used for this print is very archievel. You can purchase this piece at my Etsy store: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=12816120
When I got back from visiting my parents, I went to the Stitched by Hand group on flickr and spotted this beautiful penny rug. I can’t tell you how much I love this! It is a creation by Robyne Melia aka Bobby La, of Bobby La’s Fancywork Patterns. You can by the pattern and instructions for this rug at her Etsy store:
You can also find out more about Robyne on her blog: http://bobbylacards.blogspot.com/2007/01/penny-rug.html
I guess the meaning of this piece is that you have more to fear from yourself than you do the outside world.
Discuss. . . .
Anywho, I love the charactor of Little Red. I have done several oil paintings of her, and will probably do more through the years. This piece is a limited edition of 30. The paper measures 13″ x 19″, the image size is 9″ x 15″. This is larger than my adverage prints. You, of course, can find this print at my Etsy store:
I just finished this Little House Quilt. It is totally hand sewn and measures 14″ x 14″. It is meant to be a wall hanging and has a pocket on the back. I am offering this quilt for sale at my Etsy store. I have never sold my needlework at my Etsy store before, this is a first.
I just hiked the Grand Canyon rim to rim. What this means is we (my husband, daughter, friend Don, niece Athena w/ husband Daniel, Bro-in-Law Leo w/ niece Jenny) hiked down the North rim of the canyon, on the North Kaibab Trail, and hiked out up the Bright Angel Trail to the South Rim.

This is the view, at approx. 5:30 am, from the North Kaibab trail. Our destination is the bottom of the Grand Canyon, at a place called the Phantom Ranch. It is about 14 miles down to the ranch. As you can see, the North rim of the Grand Canyon is forested. It was very cool and quite beautiful.
