For the Love of Aprons…. The Art of Calamity Kim

Like a lot of people I love aprons.  I particularly like aprons with personality.  I would like to introduce to you the artist/craft goddess Calamity Kim.  Her aprons kind of BURST with personality.  You might say they are like fabric collages.  The aprons are often themed, bright colored, and full of movement.  Make Sure to check out her blog and her Flickr site.

  1. That’s the pot calling the kettle black, my friend! I think you are so very talented! I love your work. Thank you for showing off my stuff!

Your aprons are very pretty. A bit hard to see tonight but what I do see is good. I have a whole box of apron fabric ready to go, need to get my mending done first. Can you make your pictures so that they will enlarge at least double? Regarding the apron sketches after your pictures, I like the third one. It’s plain, simple and practical. It would really show off some of those fun fabrics I have been seeing lately. Also, it would show off just about any fabric you’d want to use from orientals to Kaffee to decorative fabrics. It’s also a nice style to show off hand or machine embroidery. Brenda
